More than half of New York City's population is Christian church. Despite the fact that the city is home to 8 million people of all ethnicities, religions, and races, Christianity is the dominant religion. As a result, New York City is home to a large number of churches. Going to church on a regular basis is said to improve a person's health by allowing them to be a part of a community and providing excellent social support, therefore lowering the risk of depression.
